Dag Tørvold

President and CEO

Dag Tørvold (born 1952) came to Nemko as the Group CEO in July 2007. He has 30 years of top management, international business experience. Dag has among other positions been the CEO of Union Paper Company, Pan Asia Paper Korea and a member of the Norske Skog corporate management with responsibilities ranging from Regional President for Asia, Group HR and EVP Newsprint operations. He has held a number of national and international board positions. Dag holds a Law degree from University of Oslo, Law School, is a member of the Norwegian Bar Association and has in addition studied Business in Norway and at Augsburg College, Minneapolis USA.

Trond Sollie

Senior Vice President Nemko Group, International Affairs & Corporate Quality Assurance

Trond Sollie (born 1946) has more than 30 years experience in conformity assessment activities within different industrial sectors. When employed by Nemko in 1987, he was central in the transformation of Nemko to become a competitive international testing and certification body and later been instrumental in developing the successful Nemko Direct programs for global market access of clients' products.
Between 1972-87 Trond was manager in Det Norske Veritas for different departments and projects related to oil & gas and other industries in Europe, North America, Far East, Middle East and Africa, and was periodically stationed in these regions. He is presently chairman of the board of NEK (the Norwegian electrotechnical standards organisation), and represents Nemko/Norway in different forums on European- and international levels concerning IEC and CELELEC, holding also central positions within the international IECEE CB-Scheme. Trond has a degree in Naval Architecture/Marine Engineering from University of Strathclyde, Scotland, UK.

Hannes Skisaker

Senior Vice President Global Sales and Business Development

Hannes Skisaker (born 1963) came to Nemko in 2010. Hannes has extensive international experience from operational and strategic positions in Europe and Asia. He holds a BSC Honours in Offshore Engineering from Harriot-Watt University, Edinburgh and a mini-EMBA from INSEAD, France. Hannes worked 5 years with ABB before he joined Norske Skogindustrier in 1993. He has primarily worked with International Sales and Marketing Management in addition to General Management and Logistics Management.

Grete Aspelund

Senior Vice President Nemko Group and Managing Director of Nemko Scandinavia

Grete Aspelund (born 1971) came to Nemko in 2012. Her educational background is Cand Polit/Master of Science in Anthropology from the University of Oslo and she has in addition attended the Master of Management program at BI, Norwegian Business School. She comes from Rambøll Management Consulting AS where she held the position as Managing Director. Her work experience ranges from being a Project Manager for large strategic projects, developing concepts, services and markets to the leadership and management of knowledge driven organizations.

Grant Schmidbauer

Senior Vice President Region North America

Grant Schmidbauer (born 1963) is responsible for the Region North America in the Nemko Group, covering Nemko owned laboratories in San Diego (California), Dallas (Texas), Salt Lake City (Utah), and Ottawa (Canada) as well as sales offices in Boston (Massachusetts), Florida, Portland (Oregon), and Toronto (Canada). Grant has 28 years of experience in the field of International Product Compliance covering product segments Information Technology, Medical, Telecom, Power Supplies, Laboratory, Test and Measurement, Household/Commercial and Audio/Video. He has formerly worked for CSA International and TUV Sud. Grant is a graduate from the British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT), Vancouver BC, in Power Electronics.

Steinar Megaard

Senior Vice President Quality Management & Process Improvements

Steinar Megaard (born 1954) is responsible for Nemko Europe which includes Nemko Germany, Nemko Italy and Nemko Finland. Since 1994 he has had different management positions including General Manager for Nemko Germany. From 2001 he has been a member of the Nemko Group Corporate Management Team. Steinar Megaard holds a Bachelor’s degree as an Electro Technical Engineer and is graduated as Business Candidate from BI Norwegian School of Management.

Choi Yong Beom

Senior Vice President Region Asia

Choi Yong Beom (born 1964) is responsible for Nemko Asia. He started in his position in 2010, following his previous position as General Manager for Nemko Korea. His responsibility is to manage and develop all Nemko activities in Asia from a new regional headquarter to be established in Hong Kong. Choi Yong Beom is also responsible for the business development in the region.

Rune Slapgard

Senior Vice President HR and Organizational Development

Rune Slapgard (born 1957) is responsible for Nemko Groups human resources and organizational development. He has good knowledge of Nemko through 28 years with Nemko. Rune Slapgard has formerly worked in different positions in Nemko as project engineer, team manager, lab manager Nemko Norway and Nemko Ltd and responsible for the testing process in the Nemko Group. Rune Slapgard holds a Bachelor’s degree as Electro Technical Engineer from Gjøvik College of Engineering.
