Korean KC mark mandatory for electrical safety

As previously, the KCC mark for certification of electronic products by the Korean Communications Commission was from 24 January 2011 changed to the common (unified) Korea Certification (KC) mark.
Now, the so-called eK-mark for electrical safety being under the authority of KATS, has also been changed into the new KC-mark. The transitional period ended 30 June, whereby only the KC mark can be used from now on.
Consequently, products without the KC-mark are no longer allowed into Korea and will be stopped at the border by customs.
