Saudi restrictions on operating voltage

The Saudi Arabian authorities have announced the following important decision which will be effective from 22 May next year:

• - Stop import of electrical equipment and accessories operating at 127 volts
• - After five years, allow only electrical equipment and accessories operating at 220/230 volts
• - Allow spare parts for electrical equipment and accessories operating at 127 volts for a period of 15 years
