Successful SASO/Nemko joint workshop in Riyadh

On 14 December, a joint workshop was arranged in Riyadh between Nemko and SASO (Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization). The event which was titled "International Market Access for Electrical & Electronic Products - The Role of Standardization and Conformity Assessment in Safety and Energy Efficiency", was attended by some 100 representatives, including local authorities, regional manufacturers, importers, agencies etc. The workshop was opened by SASO’s Governor, His Excellency Mr. Nabil Molla.

Nemko’s visit to SASO also provided opportunity to sign a re-newed agreement between the parties, to discuss different areas of possible cooperation, and to introduce Nemko’s representation in Riyadh, which was established earlier this year.
