Certification
- The Wheel Mark (Mark of Conformity) is the European regulatory marking of all marine equipment, as defined in the Marine Equipment Directive, 96/98/EC. (MED)

Testing
Nemko can test a wide range of Marine Equipment according to the Marine Equipment Directive, Class Societies requirements, FCC and USCG, EX-equipment and the CE-marking.
New test facilities and increased capacity
New Environmental test lab and 3-meter EMC test chamber (in addition to our 10-meter EMC test chamber) were opened and accredited in 2009, which means increased capacity to fulfill our customers' demands.
Accreditations
Nemko was officially appointed as a Notified Body under the terms of the Marine Equipment Directive, 96/98/EC from July 2007. The appointment covers both Navigation and Radio-communication equipment (Annexes A.1/4x and A1.5x of the Directive). This appointment came in addition to our earlier appointment as a Notified Body for A.1/3x - Fire Protection.
Nemko is also an appointed Notified Body under the terms of R&TTE, EMC and LVD Directives. These may be mandatory for Marine Electronics not listed in the Marine Equipment Directive.
