Nemko Direct: How it works

What is Nemko Direct?

Nemko Direct is Nemko’s dedicated, international approvals service for obtaining access to countries with mandatory or complex certification schemes. 

More than 15.000 foreign certificates have been obtained for our clients over the last 13 years. The aim is to provide manufacturers with access to any market they need.

Mandatory certification

A large number of countries still have mandatory certification for electrical equipment and telecom/radio appliances. This means that the products must be approved in the respective country before they can be imported and sold. Nemko has made special arrangements with approval bodies and authorities involved in most of the countries concerned, to avoid as far as possible that the products have to be re-tested and re-inspected in each case, and thereby minimize both delivery time and cost.

Special service for special markets

Some countries have more comprehensive rules than others; e.g. Russia requires in addition to safety and EMC, special hygienic certification for a number of products. We try to look into the company’s current situation, always searching for the optimal certification solutions. We have translated relevant regulations and standards into English, and we have employees speaking Russian and Chinese as well as local representatives to help follow up applications.

How long is the processing time?

Nemko has one of the shortest lead times available in the market. In most cases, the delivery time will depend on the availability of CB and EMC documents. Nemko CB Test Certificates and reports are sufficient documentation for safety evaluation, in addition to our EMC reports for those countries where EMC is required
