Nemko Authorization of workshops is a national scheme that implies that the workshop:
- On the basis of their repair and inspection reports can receive a confirmation that the equipment is still in accordance with previously issued certificate.
- On the basis of their inspection reports, after completion, can be re-certified equipment.
IECEx Service Facility Program
Nemko AS has as one of the first certification bodies been approved to operate within the IECEx Service Facility Program and as such can issue Certificates of Conformity covering Service Facilities for the repair and overhaul of equipment for use in potentially explosive atmospheres.
This IECEx Program is an International Certification Scheme that covers the assessment and the on-site audit of organizations that provide a Repair and Overhaul service to the Ex industry.
Ex Repair and Overhaul Facilities and Workshops, certified under the IECEx Certified Service Facilities Program, can provide the assurance that repairs and overhaul to Ex equipment will be undertaken according to the strict requirements of IECEx Scheme to the International Standard IEC 60079-19.
Workshops and facilities that achieve and maintain the IECEx certification will be registered onto the IECEx online Certificate of Conformity database and as such will be able to affix the IECEx logo, specific to the scope of certification to workshop reports and associated documentation.
