BRC – Food Safety

HACCP Certification according to the BRC standard demonstrates a compliance with customer requirements and expectations for food safety in regards to major grocery chains.

HACCP Certification according to the BRC standard ensures the following:

  • Continuous improvement through quality management
  • Risk analysis
  • Prevention measures
  • Good operating practices
  • Help in retaining and/or developing new market shares

The BRC standard combines quality management, food safety and hygiene with a strong focus on building conditions and production processes.

How does the Certification Process Work?

The certification process begins with a status analysis. This will determine whether the company's management system is ready for certification, or if there is an action needed before the certification audit takes place.

The certification will review all the requirements of the BRC standard. This will determine if the company has followed all the requirements of the standard and if these requirements are implemented in the company.

The final meeting will verify what must be completed before a certificate can be issued.

Certificates will be issued for a maximum of 1 year at a time.
