OHSAS 18 001 – Occupational Health and Safety

How does the Certification Process Work?
The certification process begins with an initial meeting to determine informally if the company is in compliance with the requirements of OHSAS 18001 and are ready for certification or if actions are needed before the certification audit takes place.
The certification will review all the requirements of OHSAS 18 001 standard and if the company has followed and implement all the requirements.
A final meeting will verify what must be completed before a certificate can be issued.
The certificate will be valid for 3 years after completion of the certification audit. During this period, annual surveillance audits will be conducted. During this 3 year period, Nemko will contribute to the identification of potential improvements.
