Nemko offers a very successful program for worldwide market access – Nemko Direct for Telecom. This program is designed as a means of gaining market access for your wireless telecom products.

To date, Nemko can provide market access in over 150 countries. This program is based on a network of relationships with regulatory authorities throughout the world. Our network includes countries located in the Americas, the Far East, the Middle East, Africa, Asia, Europe, Eastern Europe and Oceania.

How Nemko Direct for Telecom Works:

Market access service

The Nemko Direct for Telecom service means that we undertake, on behalf of the client, the whole process of obtaining certificates and approvals for most countries in the world, from application to follow-up and payment, in addition to the required testing and documentation. Nemko Direct for Telecom is well established and presently covers East European countries; Russia and other former Soviet republics; Asia including China, Korea, and Malaysia, as well as countries in Latin America, the Middle East, and Africa. We also offer certification to Canada and the U.S. in partnership with our North American NRTL.

Mandatory certification

A large number of countries still have mandatory certification requirements for electrical equipment and telecom/radio appliances. This means that the products must be approved in the respective country before it can be imported and sold. Nemko has made special arrangements with approval bodies and authorities involved in most of the countries concerned, to avoid, as far as possible, that the products have to be re-tested and re-inspected in each case, and thereby minimizing both delivery time and cost.

Special service for special markets

Some countries have more comprehensive rules than others; e.g. Russia requires, in addition to Safety and EMC, special hygienic certification for a number of products. For personal computers, this includes measurement of radiation, ergonomics, acoustic noise, etc., which Nemko is uniquely qualified to perform. We have translated relevant regulations and standards into English, and we have employees speaking Russian and Chinese, as well as local representatives to help follow up applications.

Issuing of declarations that no certificate is needed

Even if a product does not need certificates, there can be problems with the respective country's customs. It might also be necessary to show partners and customers in the market or country you are seeking to sell in that a specific product does not require a certificate. To avoid these problems a declaration can be issued to show that this product does not need the certification.

Nemko has more than 70 years experience in testing of electrical equipment, materials, and components, and offers a wide range of testing and related services in the European, North American and Far Eastern laboratories. The testing is according to relevant international and national standards for electrical safety, EMC, telecommunication and environmental parameters, as detailed in the Testing Capabilities listed below.
