BSMI (Bureau of Standards, Metrology and Inspection) Certification is the approval scheme for ITE and audio/ video products in Taiwan.

There are three schemes that fall under BSMI:

  • Declaration of Conformity
  • Registered Product Certification
  • Type Approval

The key to defining which schemes your product falls under is to have the HS code and User manual along with the product detailed specification and function.

ITE products covered under BSMI include:

  • PC/ Server
  • Notebooks
  • LCD monitors
  • Printers
  • ATM Machines

Audio Video products covered under BSMI include:

  • FM Radios
  • MP3/MP4/MP5
  • Digital Cameras
  • LCD TV
  • DVD Players
