Nemko India Independence Day Celebration-2Nemko India did on 15 August celebrate India's 75th Independence   Day. To convey the sense of independence, the office was decorated   with flags and balloons and a duly decorated cake was served.
It was in 1947 on August 15, at midnight, that India gained   independence from the British. The country then became, and still is,   the biggest  democracy in the world. So, this day is the most significant day in the   modern history of India, in memory of those who fought and gave up   their lives for India’s independence. Since then, the Independence Day is celebrated every year on 15th August.

The day is a national holiday when organizations and institutions hoist the national flag and organize cultural functions to foster the feeling of nationalism and patriotism across the country. The Prime minister hoists the National Flag at the Red Fort in the capital New Delhi. The day is celebrated by numerous public and private arrangements. This year was not only a marking of 75 years of independence but also of unity with the diverse culture of the country.

The British firstly managed to bring India under their control through a business venture, before the British government took control of the entire country around the 1750s.

Several agrarian, tribal, and political rebellions broke out against the foreign rule, but it was the rebellion of 1857, which proved as a launch pad for all the subsequent struggles against the British rule.

The continuously increasing awareness, contact with the outside world, and the urge to free the motherland, gave rise to an organized movement by the end of the nineteenth century, which uprooted the 200-year-old British rule in 1947.
