The future of the global economy may presently be unclear, but there is at least some “bright light” for those in the EMC testing business.
EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility) refers to the ability of electrical equipment and systems to function satisfactorily in their electromagnetic environment. Testing is crucial for ensuring that electrical and electronic devices do not emit excessive electromagnetic interfence (EMI) and can operate correctly in the presence of EMI from other devices.

Market researchers now predict that the global market for such testing services will almost double during the coming 10 years, from a sales value in 2025 of about 1.5 bill. USD to almost 3 bill. USD in 2035, which represents a compound annual growth rate of about 7% per year over the next 10 years

It is foreseen that the growth will be driven by several factors, including the rapid technological evolution of electronic devices and a rising demand in key industries, such as aerospace, telecommunications, and consumer electronics. It is also pointed at the shift to electric and autonomous vehicles in the automotive industry, and the need for an advanced EMC testing infrastructure to support that transition.

Expected increasing regulatory requirements around the globe will in addition call for growth of the EMC testing infrastructure. North America and Europe maintain established testing networks supported by stringent certification frameworks such as FCC, CISPR, and CE. Asia Pacific exhibits rapid growth, led by China, Japan, and South Korea, where large-scale electronics production and export-oriented manufacturing drive testing volumes.
It is anticipated that continued investments in semi-anechoic chambers, automation of measurement systems, and global accreditation programs will define operational efficiency and competitiveness within the EMC testing market.
