RED DA compliance evaluation project for Acer
The major Taiwanese computer company Acer has entrusted Nemko Taiwan with the important project to perform cyber security compliance evaluation of their new line of Laptop Notebook products according to the European Radio Equipment Directive - Delegated Act (RED-DA). These enhanced cybersecurity requirements will be mandatory from 1 August this year.
The project covers laptops running on both Windows 11 and Chrome OS and entail full testing and evaluation of both main models and in addition spot testing and documentation review of additional models with similar security features for both applications.

D-Link achieves EN 18031 Cybersecurity Certification
The major Taiwanese computer networking company D-Link has for their M95 router model achieved Type Examination Certificate from Nemko according to the European harmonized cybersecurity standard EN 18031. This standard is listed in the EU Official Journal as applicable under the Radio Equipment Directive (RED) and defines security requirements for IoT and wireless devices.
D-Link considers this a significant achievement that reinforces their position in cybersecurity and innovation across the global network communications industry, for protecting users from evolving cyber threats. The M95 model supports the latest WPA3 encryption protocol and is apparently the first in its category to meet the EU’s new IoT cybersecurity requirements, including EN 18031 and EN 303 645.
