Nemko Group AS and the Korean Standards Association (KSA) have signed a strategic agreement to secure the reliability of AI technology and commercialize certification services. This agreement is the first step for both organizations to establish global certification standards for artificial intelligence (AI) technology and jointly promote the spread of the AI Trust Mark both locally and internationally.
The signing ceremony recently held in Seoul was attended by KSA’s Chairman Mr. Dong-Min Moon, Nemko Group’s CEO Mr. Per Ove Øyberg, and key executives. Amid the rapidly increasing international demand and importance for AI trust certification, the parties consider this cooperation as a milestone with great impact on the AI technology industry as a whole.
The agreement is an extension of an MOU signed in November 2024, when the two organizations agreed to join forces in, amongst other, responding to global AI regulations/policies and R&D on AI testing and certification.
In the meantime, both organizations have provided seminars for customers to introduce the vision and utility of the 'AI Trust Mark'. The seminars also served as opportunities to confirm the market's expectations and demand for AI certification.
The parties plan to continue carrying out various activities that can contribute to the overall AI ecosystem, including joint development and delivery of AI certification services, joint seminars/workshop for governments and industry, and regulatory response consulting.
