The recently released statistics by the IECEE show that a total of 134 403 international IECEE Certificates were issued in 2025 and indicate a continued strong growth (7.4 %) since the year before. The graph shows the impressive annual growth over time in the number of IECEE certificates issued annually during the past 29 years. (The high figures in 2020 and 2021 are regarded as exceptions, due to launching of some important new standard editions then).

There are presently 54 Member Body countries in this scheme, with totally 94 NCBs (National Certification Bodies) and 577 testing labs, of which Nemko currently has 17 in different countries. In addition, there are almost 2000 CTFs (Client Test Facilities), i.e. authorized manufacturer laboratories.

As an Issuing NCB, Nemko is still among the leaders, with totally 6167 IECEE certificates issued last year, most of which were in the product categories HOUS (household appliances), ITAV (IT- & audio/video equipment), TRON (audio/video equipment), MEAS (measurement equipment, MED (medical equipment), and OFF (office equipment).

Moreover, Nemko is still also amongst the leaders regarding the number of IECEE certificates recognized by other NCBs. Those figures indicate the continuing success of the Nemko services for global market access.

Further information will be publicly available as soon as the 2025 statistics are posted at this IECEE site.

Like in the 2024 statistics, one can then, amongst other, see a graph showing in which countries most products with IECEE certificates are made and the overwhelming figures of China. The figures indicate that makers of electrical & electronic products have so far not been much affected by the on-going de-globalization and trade restrictions. In fact, comparison of the figures for 2025 and 2024 indicates production growth in most of the countries included in that graph.

(As announced last year, the international IECEE/CB system then celebrated its 40th anniversary, as can be seen further in this article: Building on 40 years of experience in testing and certification)
