Dell Technologies recently arranged a successful summit at the GIS Taipei Tech Convention Centre in Taiwan where brought together its global compliance leadership and key Original Design Manufacturer (ODM) partners to discuss upcoming regulatory requirements for the future development of their servers and other IT products.
Dell opened the summit by reaffirming the need for proactive compliance planning, noting that emerging global standards, especially concerning cybersecurity, will increasingly impact time-to-market and supply chain coordination.
Nemko Taiwan participated at this event to reinforce its role as a strategic compliance advisor and early interpreter of new standards that will directly influence product design and market readiness for the IT infrastructure sector. Nemko experts delivered two technical knowledge-sharing sessions.
The first focused on the EU’s Cyber Resilience Act (CRA), explaining the scope of the regulation, the obligations that manufacturers need to meet, and the expected enforcement timelines. Emphasize was on the importance of aligning security practices across hardware, firmware, and software layers and providing ODM partners with practical steps to begin assessing CRA readiness.
The second session concerned critical updates including the 4th edition the standard EN IEC 62368-1, and how these changes will influence server safety evaluations moving forward. It was highlighted that design teams may need to adjust components and update internal documentation to avoid delayed certification.
The subsequent discussions and networking reflected a shared understanding that early alignment among Dell ODMs and compliance partners such as Nemko is essential to avoiding redesigns and securing product acceptance in the regulated markets.
