In June last year, the Korean standards association KSA and Nemko Group AS entered into a strategic agreement to secure the reliability of AI technology and commercialize certification services for this. It was the first step to establish global
certification standards for artificial intelligence and starting joint both local and international promotion of the AI Trust Mark service developed by Nemko Digital.
The first AI Trust Mark and AI+ certificate has now been granted to Samsung Electronics' HRM Remote Support Service. This support service uses AI to diagnose appliance conditions, detect anomalies, and provide users with recommended actions. The certification confirms that the system meets international standards not only in performance, but also in reliability, transparency, and governance.
The certificate was handed over during a ceremony in Seoul being attended by Nemko Group CEO Mr. Per Ove Øyberg, along with key executives from Nemko Korea, KSA, and Samsung Electronics, marking a significant milestone in global AI certification collaboration.
The Nemko AI Trust Mark is promoted as a comprehensive certification seal confirming that an AI-embedded product is in compliance with relevant regulations, ethical AI practices, and industry best practices. It entails evaluation according to global AI reliability requirements, such as the EU AI Act–related criteria.
According to the CEO, Nemko will continue expanding cooperation with KSA and other certification bodies worldwide. Through the further global deployment of the AI Trust Mark, Nemko aims to support companies in strengthening AI reliability, meeting international regulatory demands, and advancing into global markets.
