Argentina's National Communications Entity (ENACOM) has adopted Resolution 843/2026, modifying the implementation schedule established under ENACOM Resolution 57/2026.

The resolution postpones the entry into force of the new Telecommunications Activities & Materials Registry (RAMATEL) framework from 1 September to 1 December this year. ENACOM has stated that additional time is required to complete pending implementation activities and ensure an orderly and efficient transition to the new regulatory framework.
Under the amendment, telecommunications equipment approvals will continue to be processed under the existing regulatory framework, including Resolution 729/80 and related provisions, through 30 November this year. The repeal of the legacy regulatory framework, which had been scheduled to occur simultaneously with the RAMATEL launch, has also been postponed until 1 December this year.
Resolution 843/2026 additionally clarifies the status of equipment registrations granted during the transition period. Registrations issued under the existing framework prior to 1 December this year will remain valid for a period of three years. Following expiration of that period, registration holders will be required to align their approvals with the new RAMATEL framework. Registrations that are not adapted to the new requirements may be cancelled automatically.
All parties affected by the regulatory changes should use the additional transition period to evaluate the impact of the forthcoming RAMATEL framework and prepare documentation, testing, certification, and market access strategies accordingly. Organizations with products awaiting approval may also wish to assess whether applications should be submitted under the current framework prior to the new system becoming effective.
