Nemko Canada can certify electrical products to Canadian Energy efficiency requirements.

Electrical and Electronic apparatus prescribed in federal and some provincial regulations in Canada as having Minimum Energy Performance Standards (MEPS) require mandatory Energy Efficiency Verification (EEV).

The organizations that certify these products under an EEV program must be accredited by the Standards Council of Canada and recognized by Canadian Regulators for the particular scope of accreditation.

The Federal regulator in Canada is Natural Resources Canada (NRCan).
