    Daniel Golparian | CEO, Nemko Scandinavia

    Daniel has an extensive background in international senior leadership, with a strong focus on product and technology development. He has led major change management efforts in the technology sector, holding senior leadership roles in companies of all size, from startups to large global corporations. Most recently, Daniel was the COO at Cyviz, and before that, the CEO of Hansen Technologies. In addition to his leadership roles, Daniel is also an inventor, being the author or co-author of 18 patents and patent applications. He’s a senior member of IEEE, staying actively engaged in the tech community. Daniel earned his MSc in Electronics and Telecommunications from the University of Oslo, an MBA from HEC Paris, and a diploma in Financial Management and Accounting from Temple University.

    Cybersecurity becomes mandatory in Europe: Now what? A practical guide

    On August 1st next year, cybersecurity will become a part of the CE marking and thereby mandatory, first for wireless-connected products like most IoTs and then for all products.

    Nemko explains what the new CE marking requirements for cybersecurity, including the recently launched new standard (EN 18031), mean for you.

    Geir Hørthe is responsible for the Nemko cyber security initiative and General Manager for Nemko System Security. He has worked at Nemko for more than 30 years, in the capacity of test services, lab manager of safety, ATEX and medical departments. He has also been Managing Director at the Nemko office in London for two years. After he returned to Norway, he held for many years the position as Certification Manager at Nemko HQ with responsibilities for electrical product certifications, for national and international certification.

     Andreas Skjøld-Lorange | Specialist Director, NSM (Nasjonal Sikkerhetsmyndighet)

    Andreas Skjøld-Lorange is a Specialist Director at the Norwegian National Security Authority (NSM), where he plays a crucial role in addressing issues related to national security, particularly in the realms of disinformation and digital threats. He has an extensive background in communication, having spent 13 years working at the Ministry of Justice and Public Security before joining NSM. In his role at NSM, Skjøld-Lorange has been actively involved in public discourse on the dangers of disinformation, emphasizing how modern technologies like artificial intelligence are being used to create highly convincing fake news and media, which pose significant threats to democratic societies. He frequently speaks at conferences and public events, where he discusses the broader implications of these threats, including how they erode public trust and the resilience of democratic institutions.

    Mariann Markseth Omholt is an export advisor specializing in helping Norwegian companies identify and seize opportunities in international markets, particularly within the European Union’s Single Market. She has previously worked as EU advisor focusing on funding opportunities for Norwegian companies in EU programs, such as the innovation and research program Horizon Europe and EU’s program for SMEs called COSME (Competitiveness for Small and Medium Sized Enterprises). Mariann holds a double master’s degree from Copenhagen Business School in CEMS International Management and MSc. Business, Language and Culture.

    Tom Tidwell is a NARTE certified EMC Laboratory Engineer with over 25 years of direct experience in Wireless, Telecommunications, EMC, and worldwide market access. His experience includes numerous wired and wireless protocols and technologies. He is responsible for Nemko’s telecom international approvals. Tom is trained and experienced as a Certification Assessment Body review engineer for the US, Canada, and Notified Body for the EU.

He has had responsibilities in different fields in the organization both as project handler, laboratory manager, sales manager, certification manager and in working with project management. Lars also has expertise as laboratory and factory auditor.

    He holds a technical drawer degree in machinery and building drawing from High School level in Oslo.

    Håkon Løvmyr has extensive experience in the research and development support industry, where he has spent many years assisting companies in identifying relevant research programs and securing funding for their R&D projects. She recently spent 2+ years working as a consultant in a technology start-up within the sustainable battery industry, and prior to joining Nemko in 2020 she worked for a Nordic company as a senior coach and advisor to top management and HR on organizational development, people & culture and change management. She holds a master's degree from UCL in Security Studies, focusing on international relations, and has studied abroad in Mexico, Guatemala, Cairo and London.

    Daniel Breive Havre works as a senior cyber security evaluator and have a MSc degree from NTNU in engineering. He does tests, security analyzes and support customers in most manners regarding cybersecurity. He is responsible for some of the cybersecurity services and keeping up to date with news regarding cyber. Mainly focusing on the coming EU cybersecurity requirements - but also ISO 15408 (common criteria), and other international regulations and standards. Daniel is a member of several committees discussing cybersecurity related regulations and standards - both nationally and internationally.

    With 9 years of experience at Nemko, Morten Rosenlund has gained extensive experience in testing electromedical equipment and is also part of the team responsible for maintaining the IEC/ISO 14971 accreditation for the medical scope. He is an active member of the NEK/NK 62 committee for Electrical Equipment for Medical Use.
