Define your role within Nemko.
I am a Senior Project Engineer that performs Product evaluations for Hazardous Locations. I have been doing this for 27 years. I am also a voting member of standard committees and provide support and training to all staff including sales and engineering.

How did you choose this career path?
I started my career right out of college in 1999; this career path picked me.

What do you enjoy most about your job at Nemko?
What I really love is working with great people and making sure our clients are happy with what we do.

Are there any challenges that you’ve faced during your career that have taught you important lessons?
Balancing work with personal life is essential, and it's important to keep learning along the way.

What do you think the industry will look like in 20 years?
As hydrogen use grows and fossil fuels decline, the industry will change bringing new standards, testing needs, and a stronger focus on sustainable solutions.

What do you find most rewarding about your role?
The most rewarding thing is working with other people and helping others to learn. 

What are some market trends you’re keeping an eye on?
Hydrogen generation because it can help decarbonize industries, power fuel cells for vehicles, store energy from renewable sources, and provide a versatile alternative to fossil fuels.

When not working, how do you spend your spare time?
I like classic cars, I have a 1973 convertible mustang, I also like boating, and I enjoy listening to bands.
