Define your role within Nemko.
I am an Outside Sales, Senior Account Manager in Nemko San Diego. My position is to grow business across Nemko Services and to develop new business opportunities with new and existing customers.
How did you choose this career path?
After my graduation, I worked as a Television producer for the Criterion Production Company. I loved the sales and marketing aspect of the job. I then worked in Sales and Marketing for the Page Parkes Modeling Company, becoming one of their lead marketing and Sales Managers. I was able to travel extensively booking Models and Actors in jobs for major print and TV commercial campaigns. I worked for over 15 years in Sales and Marketing, before beginning my career at Nemko.
What do you enjoy most about your job at Nemko?
I enjoy the diversity of our products and the ability to help our customers bring their devices to market. I also enjoy seeing the integration of new technologies into our everyday lives.
Are there any challenges that you’ve faced during your career that have taught you important lessons?
I’ve learned that with any challenge, there is the ability to turn each challenge into an opportunity. This means that you must face the obstacles head-on, being forthright and honest with the customer. If that is done, even the most challenging of situations, can be turned into an opportunity to show the customer Nemko’s core values, therefore, garnering trust -- and the opportunity to grow that trust, long term.
What do you think the industry will look like in 20 years?
I think that with the integration of wireless and artificial intelligence into many areas of technology, the business is going to explode over the next 20 years, into technologies that are unimaginable today!
What do you find most rewarding about your role?
The most rewarding aspect of my role at Nemko are the friendships I’ve fostered with my co-workers and customers alike. Being able to make a positive difference in someone’s life is pivotal for me.
What are some market trends you’re keeping an eye on?
I think AI and marketplace platforms are some of the hottest trends. Using artificial intelligence to help us better understand the customer and their marketplace will help boost Nemko’s position Internationally.
When not working, how do you spend your spare time?
When not working I like to exercise, read, listen to music and spend quality time with my family.
