Changes in application for Eurasian conformity mark via Kyrgyzstan

     Back

    Kyrgyzstan

In Kyrgyzstan, the following earlier announced Resolution has now come into force:
Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic on Amendments to Certain Resolutions of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Field of Conformity Assessment of Products and Accreditation of Conformity Assessment Bodies”.
It implies that the Kyrgyz government has decided to transfer the responsibility for registration of Declarations of Conformity (DoC) for products from various certification bodies to Kyrgyzstandart, which is the Center for Standardization & Metrology under the Ministry of Economy & Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic.

This transfer of functions covers most products, including electrical and electronic equipment. The resolution temporarily prohibits agents and certification bodies from issuing Declarations of Conformity in Kyrgyzstan. Instead, all such registrations are now to be handled solely by the body Kyrgyzstandart and its territorial divisions. The resolution explicitly excludes certification bodies from the process of registering Declarations of Conformity, indicating a shift in regulatory oversight.

The announcement can be seen at this link

The Declarations of Conformity (DoC) shall document that the products comply with the requirements of technical regulations of the EAEU (Eurasian Economic Union), which has 5 member states; Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia and Kyrgyzstan.
Due to political sanctions, trade with Russia and Belarus is currently restricted, which is not the case for Kazakhstan, Armenia and Kyrgyzstan. The combined population in the latter 3 countries is approx. 30 million.

Nemko can still assist with obtaining EAEU Declaration via Armenia and is in process of establishing appropriate contact also with Kyrgyzstandart in Kyrgyzstan.
