    Define your role within Nemko.
    I am in charge of sales marketing and support outside salespeople, such as issuing bills. I also am responsible for promoting Nemko to consumers through advertisements such as Google and LinkedIn and delivering news of Nemko to existing customers through blogs and e-mails.

    How did you choose this career path?
    After majoring in French, I mainly worked as an interpreter and translator and was in charge of internal communication at the previous company. I have no marketing career, but I had that experience at a foreign company when I was in college, and I thought it was an exciting field, and that’s why I decided to be a sales marketer.

    What do you enjoy most about your job at Nemko?
    It is rewarding to see that the products of world-famous customers go through our tests and certifications. It's been less than a year since I joined Nemko, so I feel a sense of accomplishment in my new job and education every day.

    Are there any challenges that you’ve faced during your career that have taught you important lessons?
    There were difficulties because I did not have professional knowledge about the standards. Although the marketing team does not directly test and certify devices in response to the standards, I felt that I should be aware of the standards, issues, and updates that are announced worldwide as I work as a communication channel between customers and engineers in marketing and sales.

    What do you think the industry will look like in 20 years?
    Due to Covid-19, the 4th industrial revolution has developed more rapidly than we expected. In the non-face-to-face era, the scope and technology of the Internet of Things are expanding day by day. Therefore, it is thought that new standards for all information technology equipment and home appliances are overflowing and necessary. I believe Nemko should be able to adapt to the rapidly changing market needs quickly.

    What do you find most rewarding about your role?
    I have recently had my first successful webinar on Cyber Security for my clients. In the preparation process, I realized how important it is to communicate with external and internal customers. Internally, solid communication and collaboration are essential keywords for achieving customer satisfaction. I want to contribute to Nemko by acting as a window between engineers and customers.

    What are some market trends you’re keeping an eye on?
    I’m keeping an eye on the medical device industry and cyber security. I know that the market demand for medical devices and measuring instruments has increased due to COVID-19. In addition, it is confirmed that the need for cyber security for home appliances has increased as the IoT develops faster than expected as a non-face-to-face lifestyle. So, we are paying attention to cybersecurity for home appliances and the medical device market.

    When not working, how do you spend your spare time?
    I spend the weekend with family or friends. I go to church, so I do volunteer work every Sunday. On weekdays, I spend most of my time in the office, so I try to spend time in activities in my spare time.
