    Meet Alessandro Izzo

    Alessandro-Izzo-Round-HeadshotAlessandro Izzo

    Sales & Marketing Executive

    Define your role within Nemko.
I cover two roles in Nemko. I’m the Italian reference for the operative marketing tasks and sales representative for calibration instruments service.

How did you choose this career path?
I’ve always been really interested in technology and marketing. In Nemko, I found both and had the opportunity to have a great experience in sales. My path started in September 2015 as a sales representative for all the Nemko services with small tasks in the marketing area, especially for semantic SEO and website content contextualization for the Italian market. Going forward, I started to show more and more interest in the marketing area, and I have been the main reference for marketing operative tasks in Italy for two years now.

What do you enjoy most about your job at Nemko?
Working in Nemko, you will have the opportunity to join a multinational company with a familiar vibe. I know all my colleagues, and the team is friendly. Also, seeing many technologies before they are commercialized is very interesting and allows you to get an idea about future technological trends.

Are there any challenges that you’ve faced during your career that have taught you important lessons?
Nemko was my first proper job, so I faced many challenges and learned many lessons. I understood that it is true that the simplest things are often the most efficient ones. Dialogue and comparison with customers is often the secret behind a win-win collaboration. Another important thing to remember is that work inevitably involves errors, but it is important to understand and resolve them. A positive mindset and problem-solving skills are the main factors for success.

What do you think the industry will look like in 20 years?
I’m curious about AI, and it will probably greatly influence our lives and jobs. If well used, the potential is incredible.

What are some market trends you’re keeping an eye on?
I think the technology mentioned above (AI) will change many business models. As all the new technologies at the beginning aren’t regulated, they could also be used maliciously. It will probably be here that blockchain and cybersecurity will become more and more relevant due to transparency and security.

When not working, how do you spend your spare time?
I’m an electronic music producer, I like to travel, and I enjoy spending time with family and friends.

What does the average day in the life look like for you?
I would say busy and addictive. Impossible to get bored. Customers meeting, phone calls, negotiations, creativity, ideas, and sometimes a coffee break with colleagues can clean up your mind to have new inspirations.

What is your favorite song, show, or book at the moment?
I’m receiving much energy from an artist called “Art of Tones” during this period. Suggested track to listen to? “Devil the Difference” (only with a good audio system or headphones).
