I'm an Administrative Assistant at Nemko Taiwan. I am in charge of cash management, office supplies procurement, recording employees' attendance, and organizing internal activities.
How did you choose this career path?
I am a patient, attentive, and conscientious person who makes an all-out effort in my career. So, learning more experiences at Nemko seemed like a great fit, so I decided to follow this career path.
What do you enjoy most about your job at Nemko?
I can find the difference in the personality and habits of each colleague to handle different people and any situations so I can figure out the best way to solve problems. For me, it’s a big challenge because there’s not only one method to use, so it lets me consider what I can do to get better for maximum efficiency. This gives me a sense of accomplishment.
Are there any challenges that you’ve faced during your career that have taught you important lessons?
In the past two years, due to Covid-19, there were lots of overseas businesses that could not be implemented. Samples sent from overseas may be delayed, the internal work time was forced to be shortened, and the annual company trip was suspended. I have benefited a lot from how I can deal with urgent cases in a short time.
What do you think the industry will look like in 20 years?
There will be a more advanced technology era than now. There are a large variety of commodities provided for people to purchase. There is no doubt that people prefer safe, long-lasting, and practical products to use, and more products must be tested and inspected in the future. The demand for talents and equipment will also increase relatively, and I believe the industry must be booming in the coming year.
What do you find most rewarding about your role?
I think I play the role of cheering up and supporting my colleagues on the front line and providing assistance when needed. That way, they can efficiently serve customers and reach outstanding achievements.
What are some market trends you’re keeping an eye on?
I'm concerned about the international situation, such as war, economics, politics, and epidemics. What happens in a particular area will affect the whole body, affecting the company's future policies. It is crucial to pay attention to these issues and adapt to the situation accordingly.
When not working, how do you spend your spare time?
During my vacation, I prefer painting, listening to music, and lying on the balcony at night to watch the stars and meditate. They can help me relax my body and mind. I also go out when the weather is excellent, and it is important to me to have that alone time.
