Define your role within Nemko.
I am an engineer from Nemko Shenzhen; I focus on EMC and RF fields. As well as a Technical consultant, mainly responsible for report review and EMC laboratory management.
How did you choose this career path?
Initially, I worked as a hardware R&D engineer at a digital product solutions company, where my work involved product reliability design. This made me realize that product reliability is an essential part of the quality system. Since then, I have become interested in the certification field and dedicated to maintaining product quality, so I joined a third-party testing and certification company for a few years. I then had the pleasure of joining when I knew there were relevant job openings at Nemko.
What do you enjoy most about your job at Nemko?
With the rapid development of electronic technology, smart electronic products serve the people and ensure that the products meet the regulatory requirements. I can participate and provide services for these smart products. As the first witness of this, it makes me happy.
Are there any challenges that you’ve faced during your career that have taught you important lessons?
In general, the biggest challenge is often not a technical problem. As a service-oriented company, we need to respond to changes in the market environment at any time and then change the market operation strategy, which will greatly impact the project's price and cycle.
What do you think the industry will look like in 20 years?
For the EMC/RF field, the fully automated artificial intelligence test platform controls all test instruments for automatic testing and report generation. It only needs to be reviewed on a unified certification platform.
What do you find most rewarding about your role?
Building a technical support window for customers, directly answering questions for customers, ensuring project delivery, test accuracy, and report quality in line with the requirements of the laboratory operation system. Which lets the department run smoothly.
What are some market trends you’re keeping an eye on?
With the aging of the population and the concern of human beings on health, medical devices will develop rapidly. The field of artificial intelligence will also change and affect the way we live.
When not working, how do you spend your spare time?
I enjoy spending time with my friends and family in my spare time. I am a nature-lover, so I go hiking or some green place for fun in the free time I get from work. I will go camping with my friends or go fishing. In addition, I will go to some club activities, such as soccer and badminton.
